Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Falk Trading collects, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. We keep it short and plain where we can.
1. Who we are
Falk Trading (the “App”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Muntean Holding AS, a company registered in Norway. Muntean Holding AS is the data controller responsible for your personal data under the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act. 2. Scope
This policy covers the Falk Trading mobile app, this website and related services. It does not cover third-party services we integrate with, which have their own privacy policies (see Section 6).
3. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account data — your email address and authentication identifiers when you create an account (handled via Google Firebase Authentication).
- Watchlist & preferences — the tickers you follow and in-app settings, so we can sync them to your account.
- Your AI provider key (“BYOK”) — if you choose to add your own AI provider API key, we store it in encrypted form and use it only to make requests to that provider on your behalf. You can remove it at any time.
- Support messages — the contents of emails or forms you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — app interactions, feature usage, device type, operating-system version, language and similar diagnostics, used for analytics and to improve the App.
- Crash & performance data — error logs that help us fix bugs and keep the App stable.
- Research queries — the tickers and questions you submit to the research chat, which are processed to generate a response.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect brokerage credentials to trade on your behalf, and we do not receive your full payment-card details — subscription payments are handled by Apple, Google and our subscription processor (see Section 6).
4. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain and personalise the App (your account, watchlist, research and findings).
- To process your research queries and return AI-generated research.
- To manage subscriptions, entitlements and free trials.
- To analyse usage and improve features, reliability and performance.
- To protect against fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- To communicate with you about support requests and important service changes.
- To comply with legal obligations.
5. Legal bases (GDPR)
We process personal data on these legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to deliver the App and the features you request.
- Legitimate interests — to improve and secure the App, analyse usage and prevent abuse, balanced against your rights.
- Consent — where required, e.g. for certain analytics or communications; you can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with the law.
6. How we share data & our processors
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers (processors) that help us run the App, under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Google Firebase (Google Ireland/LLC) — authentication, database, hosting, cloud functions, analytics and crash reporting.
- Anthropic — processes research-chat queries to generate AI responses. If you use your own AI key (BYOK), requests are made to your chosen provider under your account.
- Market-data providers — supply prices, charts and news; your queries to them are limited to the symbols you view.
- Subscription processor & app stores — Apple App Store, Google Play and our subscription-management provider handle billing, receipts and entitlements. We receive purchase status, not card numbers.
We may also disclose data where required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets (with notice where required).
7. International transfers
Some of our processors are located outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent mechanisms.
8. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above: account data for as long as your account is active, and a reasonable period afterwards; diagnostic data for a limited period; and data we must keep for legal or accounting reasons for the period the law requires. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data (see Section 9).
9. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA (including Norway), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectify inaccurate data;
- Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”);
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Data portability;
- Withdraw consent at any time;
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Norway, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

10. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and encryption at rest for sensitive items such as BYOK keys. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
Falk Trading is a financial-research tool intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party content & market data
The App displays market data, news and links from third parties. Their accuracy, availability and timeliness are not guaranteed, and their use may be subject to the third party’s own terms and privacy practices.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the App or by email.
